大年初九作什么呢？拜天公嘛！
拜什么呢？
年年赚大钱哦，工作保得住饭碗，不会被抄掉，哎，
世界和平，国泰民安，
最重要还是身体健康吧，不要被病魔缠住身子，那才重要！
这年头什么绝世奇病都有，这世界越来越恐怖了！
不是什么＂杀死＂病，就是什么＂禽流感＂，要不然什么＂癫牛症＂会癫死你，还有＂蓝舌＂病，
＂猪瘟＂什么的，沙门式，大肠癌，等等一大堆，
我阿公、阿妈的时代听都不曾听到的盖世绝症，
到我们这个时代，突然间通通都跑出来了，
天公啊，是不是我们人类做错了什么事情，让你这样惩罚我们呢？
别管这么多，拜天公嘛！先把鸭子宰了再说，还有那为我们生鸡蛋的老母鸡，都给我＂杀死＂，还有未成年的可爱小猪，通通给我
＂沙，沙，沙＂。。。
咦，慢着，等一下，这些无药可救的绝症好象跟动物有什么关系似的，
吃牛，羊(癫牛症)，猪(猪瘟)，鸡,鸭(禽流感)，还有鳗鱼（沙门式)
都有可能染上不治之症，是不是天公在暗示我们什么吗？
我们吃＂团圆＂饭的时候，有没有想到，我们刚刚才把老母鸡杀掉，它们一家大小＂团圆＂了吗？它们的家庭幸福吗？它们快乐吗？
我们拜拜的时候，还把未成年的可爱小猪猪杀死，烤了它的尸体，看它在那儿烧着，烧着，看它在那生死的边缘痛苦地挣扎的时候，我们的良心和平吗？
我们拜天公，祝愿天下太平，战争不再有，
可是我们的餐桌上却是充满着血腥味，充满着暴戾恣睢，
我们的餐桌和平吗？我们的手不再战争了吗？
我懂了，我觉悟了
从新年开始，我要吃素，
天公＂补庇＂，＂补庇＂，救救地球吧！
太平天下，从我的餐桌开始！

Lunar New Year Good Luck Salad Part 1
On the 7th day of Chinese Lunar New Year, one of the traditional vegan salad is being served. It is called the Prosperity Toss Up Salad and is popular with businessman and common folks alike. All friends and relatives will gather together on this day to celebrate the birthday of human beings, and to wish for prosperity and good luck in the coming new year.
It's a beautiful salad full of color and folklore. Each ingredient has a unique prospitious sounding name. All for the good of the world, healthy, beauty and prosperity.
In this age of climate change threatening the existence of the Earth, we wish everyone quickly adopt the vegetarian diet so that we can celebrate many more years o Lunar New Year.
The red carrot, one of the main ingredients of this dish cut into fine threads.
And here is the white turnip and green turnip which add to the color of the dish.
May all beings be in peace and live peacefully with one another.

Mars Message 火星人的两项重大讯息
最近美国太空总署发现在火星上出现甲烷，这意味着火星有生物的迹象。
藉由这项重大发现，无上师电视台在２００９年正月１８号的视讯连线向清海无上师讯问详情。
清海无上师在视讯会议上透露了火星的奥秘。原来恒久以前，火星也象地球一样面临一场火星气候变化的大灾难，当时的火星人没有及时改变饮食习惯，也没有人大力提倡素食，所以火星人最终被消灭了，只剩下一小部分的人。
这一小部分的火星人大约０。２巴仙的生还者，为数大约两百万人，全部都是素食者，并持有高尚的道德品行，躲在火星地底下的石洞之内求生，直到现在。

Following from the recent discovery by NASA scientists of the existence of methane gas on planet Mars, Supreme Master Ching Hai was asked about Mars people during the recent video conference with Supreme Master Television staff on 18 January 2009.
Supreme Master Ching Hai revealed that Mars had experienced climate change many years ago similar to what Earth has experienced now, but the Mars people did not change their diet habit in time to save Mars. Only about 0.2% of Mars population, comprising of virtuous, vegetarian people survived to this day by hiding in underground caves.

Buddha's Hand
The Chinese Lunar New Year has arrived in Singapore. Here's a series of photos taken at Chinatown, the traditional night market where Chinese flocked to do their vegan New Year marketing.
The Buddha waved to us with his hands, hence the name of the fruit, which resembles somewhat the old wrinkled fingers of a Tatagatha's palm.
Many of the food eaten during Chinese Lunar New Year are vegetarian. Even the snacks and treats are vegetarian or vegan, comprising mostly of various types of fruits and nuts which are colorful and abundant at this time. The array of food and vegetarian products are astonishing. From fresh fruit to dried fruit to processed food, there are so many choices to delight both young and old.
And of course, in Singapore the lion is the symbol of the nation and the main symbol of the crossing of the New Year.
May all Singaporeans adopt the righteous and courageous heart of the Chinese lion, be veg, go green, save the planet !

This is traditional Malay vegan dish Lontong, with lots of helpings of delicious chunky tofu stewed with cabbage and long beans in thick gravy sauce.
Next dish is for lovers of crunchy snacks.
